After more than 10 years of restaurant work in Santa Fe, Julia and Carlos Castro fulfilled their dream of opening their own business in 1990; First, with the original El Comal, then with Café Castro.

With the help of Carlos's sisters, Ruth and Denia, Cafe Castro has become a staple of Santa Fe's dynamic local food culture.

Since February 2020: their daughter Alma and her husband Pascual Hernandez, in collaboration with the Castro Family and our long time staff are pleased to bring you the traditional taste of Northern New Mexican Cuisine.
